all,
it's too late for regrets - my visa came through yesterday. Rest assured, I
have been to England before and am fully prepared for the weather, the food,
the prices, the rail system, the complaining and the air pollution. I intend to
make it attractive by comparison with even more challenging places, and will
flee to equatorial Africa within the first few days of arrival.
Hence the interest in something small, fast, and filmless that will not be
cooked on the way through Heathrow.
Being heavy, cumbersome, inedible, slow but somehow strangely wonderful, like
your grandmother's lavender shortbread, the Hasselblad will remain my camera of
choice for the United Kingdom.
Joanne
