[HUG] Re: Looking XPan Users

As a big eBay fan, I did buy all my stuff on eBay. That is my primary
place to shop at the moment. Incidental I buy stuff on local websites,
but they never offer the same as eBay. Having said that, I realize that
at this moment on eBay only you'll find a lot of Xpan I camera's (note
the ISO wheel on the front of the camera) but not a lot of Xpan II's or
30mm lenses. But I guess it is worth waiting.

Btw: I don't know if you are aware of this, but the Fuji TX2 is exactly
the same as the Xpan II, it just looks different. They come from the
same factory in Japan (am I allowed to say things like that on this
mailinglist???) The TX2 could only be sold in asia, but with eBay those
boundaries no longer exist.

Some relativation: I can imagine that a photographer with a camera
collection like yours, will be dissapointed when he gets a Xpan with the
standard 45 mm. The 30mm with its own separate viewfinder is a vital
part of my positive user experience of the xpan. The downside is that
the 30mm probably will cost you more than the Xpan itself with the
standard lens.

Oh! There's the rub as they say.. The best shots out of this book I
have were quite wide angled.. There's a shop down the street from me
that rents them. I'm going to give it try in a weekend or two..

Ebay doesn't seem to have a large supply of them. Could you recommend
a place to shop around for used XPans ?

   Thanks again
