[HUG] Re: Looking XPan Users

Justin

There might be one or two TXs about!

The next issue is the first or second version...the latter seems to still have a significant premium.

Another tip, look for a package with centre filter for 45mm, lens hoods etc. Those things are expensive separately (especially the filter!).

The prices seem to be holding up too on the usual auction place. Lots go through there, considering.

PS Yep, a 35mm rangefinder too! Just as good as a Leica! Well, not really... if nothing else, the lenses become slow for a 35mm RF.

Yes, I understand the situation. I mentioned it as Justin is considering
a purchase and Henk mentioned the Fuji-badged version... the distributor
in Canada may not touch the (identical) TX versions.

I further added that this seems no longer 'necessary' for a system that
is no longer in production. In fact, Hasselblad seem to be cutting off
their nose to spite their face in not selling parts for the few TX
versions that trickle outside Japan. They would get the money for the
parts inventory earlier, rather than later.

Well the point might be moot as I don't think I will even find a Fuji version here in Canada.. But if Hasselblad refused to touch them, I'm not interested.

I am going to keep my eye open for an XPan. First I will rent one.

Correct me if I am wrong, but it's possible to shoot just regular 35mm with this camera too no ?
