Yip, you can switch between panorama (65mm) and regular (36mm) at any time; the 
camera will transport the film accordingly back and forth. 
 
I'm very curious about your experiences with the rented Xpan...

version here in Canada.. But if Hasselblad refused to touch them, I'm not 
interested. 

   I am going to keep my eye open for an XPan. First I will rent one. 

  Correct me if I am wrong, but it's possible to shoot just regular 35mm with 
this camera too no ?
