[HUG] Re: Looking XPan Users

Yes, I understand the situation. I mentioned it as Justin is considering a purchase and Henk mentioned the Fuji-badged version... the distributor in Canada may not touch the (identical) TX versions.

I further added that this seems no longer 'necessary' for a system that is no longer in production. In fact, Hasselblad seem to be cutting off their nose to spite their face in not selling parts for the few TX versions that trickle outside Japan. They would get the money for the parts inventory earlier, rather than later.

"The Fuji is not a Hasselblad camera, sir. "

Well, maybe and maybe not. They both did bits, as for the H system. Concept was Hasselblad, lenses were mostly Fuji. That sort of thing.

They do have different names, but remember:

"What's in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet."

the TX in Japan Hasselblad serves the rest of the world.
A friend had problems with the Fuji TX went to a Hasselblad service center and was refused assistance.
The Fuji is not a Hasselblad camera, sir.
Ordering parts without a Hasselblad body number was also impossible.

Richard.
