Sure looks like you're talking about "file format save" to me...

Whatever...that aside, I still don't get your point.  You say you're talking
about image capture it self, in the camera and in the scanner.  Why did you
bring up JPG or TIFF?  Those are file formats, and have nothing to do with
the image capture it self.  The image capture has not a wit to do with JPG
or TIFF.
