[HUG] Re: EPSON flatbed problem

Oliver,

I hae used the Epson 3200 scanner as well for 6x6 transparencies. What I
learned was to turn off the USM control in the Epson S/W and sharpen the image
via your favorite post processing S/W (PhotoshopCS#2 in my case).

If you can find a method of mounting the film on the flatbed glass, which I
have done with some success in the past, you will find the scans a bit sharper.

I must say that I seldom use my 3200 due to the acquisition of a Nikon 8000
with a glass carrier.

Here is a link to some comparissons for LF imaging scans.

Highly unlikely indeed. And definitely not the case on my Epson 3200Photo.
You can check on www.hasselbladinfo.com for some scans I made with it.
There is a 60x60cm inkjet hanging above my head which originates from a scan
I made on this flatbed. Hardly out of focus ;-)
