If someone told me there was a college located in Greenwich Village that I
could go to I might have studied longer than five minutes in high school.
Left bank Paris in the 20's, Berlin
It may be the hippest place on the planet in this particular day and age..
I live right on the south edge of the Columbia University campus.
Way north, nosebleed.
One of the five ivy league schools. And located in Harlem.
Which some call "The Heights" or some other name but its Harlem.
Its a real campus with a Quad and everything. "The Thinker" or Poet by
Rodin. Greek Columns you name it.
Everyone you pass on the sidewalk is a genius and I'm loving it.
It cost a dozen dollars to go to a flick. Up one dollar from last year.
This affects me as I am a movie nut first and foremost.
A scotch on the rocks used to be my main economic value unit of interest.
No clue what one costs now.
Nor Pork bellies.
I have gotten great results with my Bessa L which I got for 60 bucks new in
Portland OR but in the used bin.
I use the 25mm Cosina Voigtländer snapshot on it and have gotten great
results with Ilford xp2 as all souping is no longer done by me. I got to
soup kitchens which run C41, its hard to fowl up. Just put a hogs knuckle
into it for flavor. I got a great shot of the flatiron building Stieglitz
better keep his day job.
