For the price of three filters only you can buy a Russian made copy of the Zeiss 30 mm lens complete with filters. 

I happen to have a spare set of Russian filters here that I do not use.

Aaahhh... gotcha. I guess I missed that. Those lenses are optically designed with a filter as part of the formula. You are correct... an idiot!
