Harry,
That is a problem we will all be facing sooner or later.
I heard my technician had the intention to close his shop next year.
Luckily he still does service Zeiss lenses and Hasselblad bodies.
He only stops doing bread and butter cameras and did clear his stock of
parts
for those.
Maybe we can come up with a good and affordable alternative?
Where are you located?
Richard

Thanks for the info and words of warning! The problem I have is that my
regular guy passed away recently and there is nobody else in my city to do
the work. There is one guy in the country who is really good, but as he is
the only one - he charges the equivalent of about $200 to do a lens, and I
have five.
Cheers
Harry

Harry,
This is in most cases not a DIY job.
I have a complete manual for older C series lenses.
My lenses are taken care of by an experienced older technician who knows
what to touch and what things are best left in peace.
Besides removing older lubricants you have to apply new lubricant of the
correct grade in the right amount.
I pay 50 USD for an excellent job and do not like to take a risk by
saving some money and ending up with a ruined lens.

Hi All
I remember, some time ago, someone on the list was selling a booklet on
how to repair Hasselblad lenses. I have a couple of old lenses with my
500CM and the slow shutter speeds are getting a little slower than they
should be.
Is this person still on the list, if not can someone point me in the
right direction?
Thanks
Harry
