Yes, I think you are right. I have had a few rolls of the new
formulation and it seems finer grained. A little different filtration but
not by much. It all helps and I hope that they keep up the attitude of
improvement.
I have not shot transparencies for decades. I cannot remember – was
slide film finer grained than negative? I would be a little frightened about
the precision needed for exposure. My handheld meter only has two markings:
Day/Night. You can tell if it is the first one because you can see it and
you can tell if it is the second one if you can’t. I find it is economical
on batteries.
