I agree. Frankly for my money I will stick with the latest in nanotechnology and store the data at the molecular level using the full field of view. I can always scan such images to produce 320 Megapixel images with 16 bits per color.

That's it entirely. Couldn't agree more.
When will the solve the sensor pit vignetting problem? When will they get rid of the shortcomings of Bayer and other colour patterns? They have had enough time to think about it. Now's it time to see some solutions.
