When will a colour print from a negative made by the same man and
the same lab with the same corrections ever be the same if they are made
again a few weeks later?

That's it entirely. Couldn't agree more.
When will the solve the sensor pit vignetting problem? When will they get rid of the shortcomings of Bayer and other colour patterns? They have had enough time to think about it. Now's it time to see some solutions.
