[HUG] Re: Back for 220 film for 500C and 500CM, A24? Questions too...

is the back for 220 on those bodies, no?

Yes.
24 indicates the number of frames you get per roll.

And if so what does it mean "WITH 24 RELEASE" vs. one without that?

At some point in time, Hasselblad put the type numer also on the knob on top of the magazine that is used to lock/unlock the magazine on the camera. The innards changed a little bit too, but not in a way that is relevant to how they function or how good they are.

KEH has A24 backs identified as 30104 or 30224 or 30225 and some with no number mentioned. What is the difference in these? (I'm guessing xxx24 and xxx25 are simply chrome and black, respectively),
and would all work with my 500C and CM?

All of them, regardless of type, will work on your 500 C and C/M.

30104 is a chrome A24 back, yes.

So is 30224, but this is of the latest type, that has a darkslide holder attached to it. 30225 is the black trim version of the same.

Also, what is an A16 back?

A back that produces 16 6x4.5 cm frames on a roll of 120 film.
