Hello all,
Looking to get a back for my 500C and 500CM to shoot 220 film. I believe I
am correct in that the A24 is the back for 220 on those bodies, no? And if
so what does it mean "WITH 24 RELEASE" vs. one without that? KEH has A24
backs identified as 30104 or 30224 or 30225 and some with no number
mentioned. What is the difference in these? (I'm guessing xxx24 and xxx25
are simply chrome and black, respectively), and would all work with my 500C
and CM?

The differences are in the type of release button the back has. One has a silver release button, one had '24' on the button and the other has a black dot on the release. They will all work with all V-series Hassies.

Also, what is an A16 back?

An A16 back gives 16 6x4.5 exposures per roll of 120. The book for Hasselblad geeks is Richard Nordin's book. I don't have mine right here so can't remember the exact title. I just call it "Nordin" and it seems most here do also.
Pls excuse the noob questions I'm not all that versed in Hassy accessories
and gear.

Don't worry, we were all once like that. Get a Nordin and you will have most all of the information through about 1993. You will be amazed how much crap Hassy used to market. If you wanna be a collector, there is plenty to collect.

Oh, and if there's a web site that answers these please point it out.

Someone else will have to help you there.
