[HUG ] Re: Analogue melt down - or - Buyer's Regret.3.

You are hilarious.

I have too many cameras, and am liquidating some of my collection to fund my return to university, and to shore up my plummeting stock portfolio. I am in Canada, and although not directly impacted by the ABCP, my portfolio is currently down more than I'd like.

My collection still consists of:
1. Leica - I buy, then sell, then regret, then buy at higher prices. And I shoot them.
2. Nikon RF - obtained in a frenzy of insanity. Love the lenses though
3. Hasselblad - bought for being in MF and flexibility and "wanting the best".
4. Alpa - again, insanity, but have a comprehensive collection
5. Nikon F basic kit
6. Rolleiflex basic kit
7. Zeiss items: Contax IIa, Contarex
8. Canon F1: basic kit

Some may get sold for tuition money. Most of it is well cherished. I often can't get by taking their photographs for the auction site, so they go back onto the shelf, or better, get a roll of film popped into them and it becomes my shooter for the next week.

And as for returning to school, well, half the population is jaw-droppingly stunningly beautiful. I can't imagine how the other half maintains their concentration to study. You bet meeting girls is worth it.
