[HUG ] Re: 16 back

I can attest that similar modifications of this kind also work. I blacked out
the the right third of the upper circle and the left third of the lower circle
of the "8" on my 80mm lens and the camera thought it was a 50mm!
Of course this was a 203, so it was smarter than the 500 series...

James,

Hasselblads and Rolleis were invented as 'square' cameras, 'square' seers.
Anytime you try to fool the camera (try to make it something that it isn't) the
system usually rebels with some retribution of some sort, some unwillingness to
cooperate. I suggest that you take a piece of masking tape and cover the '16'
on the back, and write '12' on the masking tape. This should fool the camera
into think that you are using a 12 back, and everything should work reasonably
normally. Or not - depends upon how smart your camera is...

Good luck,

Jokingly yours...

;-)
