[HUG ] 16 back

I'm shooting with a 16 back using 120 film, the problem is when I advance the 
film it does not advance all the way. There are two little pyramid marks on the 
winder it only gets to the first one, which is smaller than the other one. The 
mirror is still in the up postion, so I put the dark slide back in and take off 
the back then advanc it. What is going on, is that what you suppose to do?
