I have access to an Alpha that I can test out.  What do I need to do?

I would just run the benchmark when hashcash gets installed or
upgraded, and allow the user to re-benchmark manually.

Under UNIX-like systems, you can store the results in /etc/, which
generally isn't shared between systems.  I guess under Windows,
C:\Windows generally isn't shared.
