As far as Expander itself is concerned the mime type 
is enough for it to recognize a file and apply the rule.

If there's a mime sniffing rule that recognizes all .r00, .r01
as rar files, they will be typed as such, but they aren't 
of much interest in solitude. You need the .rar file, IIRC.

Now, if there were a multi-file un-archiver that needed all of the 
files to be explicitly named, as opposed to only the head file, 
Expander would not be able to support that, I think.
