I'm building from BeOS 5.1d0 (EXP/Dano) and the current method used is to
create a bootable CD, from which you can do an install if needed. You use
cdrecord with the command (assuming you only have one CD burner):
cdrecord -v -eject -dao -data generated/haiku-boot-cd.iso
generated/haiku.image
Looks like your are not building the single track boot cd. You should do it
like this:
jam -q haiku-cd
Then you will have a "generated/haiku-cd.iso". It has a regular ISO9660
file system on it, with appropriate attribute emulation. The point is that
you can burn this as a single track (not so important when you use cdrecord
at the command line, but important for everybody else).
Also note that I've added a button "Write Boot Sector" to the Installer.
This is a short cut in case you only need to make an existing Haiku
installation bootable. In the future, there will also be a shortcut to
install the boot menu without going through the entire installation.
Well, that's one I didn't know about. Looks like the haiku/ReadMe file
could use an update...
