Just get the development tools from BeBits and you'll be fine. A copy of
the BeBook comes in handy too.

You only need this if you plan to check out the OpenBeOS source code, or
any other project that lives in a CVS repository. (Of course, putting
your own projects in a local repository is not a bad idea either.)

> ssh

You only need this if you plan to commit code back to OpenBeOS, but you
also need to have "commit rights" for that (i.e. be on the list of
developers who can commit code to the OpenBeOS CVS repository).
