First time I can remember us having a major problem in the history of the 
list. By and large the people on this list act rather professional about 
things and threads don't go off-topic all that often. I'm not speaking for 
Michael, but I suspect that a moderated approach would only be necessary if 
things got out of hand on a regular basis. Most of the admin team AFAIK has a 
*lot* on their plates already, anyway.
