[openbeos] Re: office suite(s)

I'm just throwing this out, but I'm not a big fan of porting GUIs from 
platform to platform.  All the Linux software I've seen that has been 
ported to Windows has typically relied on third-party widget libraries 
that break the consistency of the OS.  In particular, the stuff that 
uses GTK ends up being a horrible mess that doesn't act how the user 
expects and doesn't even look like the rest of the programs they run.  
QT is better, but the widgets just don't act the same as they do in 
native Windows.  Even GUIs ported to BeOS like mozilla or phoenix don't 
act right.  I can't copy and paste text back and forth, they're 
sluggish to respond, the key shortcuts don't work as I expect...  What 
I'm getting at is that I think if OBOS wants to be a good GUI 
experience, it should rely on native programs and not ported GUIs.

Plus, OpenOffice just doesn't have the uniqueness I expect from Be. :)
