What can I say... you're wrong.
I'm sorry you feel that way.
Can't we innovate?
I think we just did!
The atom bomb was also invented once upon a time.
That doesn't mean it was such a great idea. :))
(Microsoft does a whole lot of innovation too..)
GUI was invented by XEROX's PARC.
I think it's a great idea.
Even MS uses it. :-)
Only time and testing will prove these designs right or wrong.
Yes, that's true.
Hardly wait to get there: I don't like Axel's bubbles! :-))
Waaar: bubbles VS. flashing/highlighting! :-))))))))))))
Feel free to innovate, but if we can't add slideshows to ShowImage, or
a simple CLI utility that would benefit everyone, perhaps we should
refrain from adding blinking transparent bubbles and intelligent window
placement, for now. (R1)
Don't know if all things are possible in R1, BUT,
1) placing a window in front or after the one that has focus is not hard and it will be part of R1.
2) placing windows so that they would be visible (my 2nd suggestion) is easily possible.
Flashing/Highlighting the Deskbar or new_window's border is equally easy.
2') bubbles on top, are just layers in app_server. easy doable. (each BView "is" a layer)
3) transparency is *not* something we should take for granted in R1. We still have a long way to
achieve that.
You see... 2 out of 3 is not bad. ;-) ... in R1!
