Yup, good idea.  What features should N have?

Again, a good idea. Should we have priorities? (possibly making this 
into a system-wide list, with "B_SYSTEM_PRIORITY" or similar being said 
messages)

We could place the note window anywhere, as the user should be able to 
click through it (perhaps not the /actual/ hot spot, but close enough) 
and act if it wasn't there.
