More like < $100 for a gig now... CF's are cheap for some reason... probably
because the 2 and 3 gig models are out. Then again, I didn't check the read/write
speeds, these ones could be slower than all hell:

just select type CF and capacity 1 gig

Pretty cool! Good they have external DC backup, so you could copy
over
your boot disk to it, reboot the computer and continue using the
computer, but booting off the RAM disk instead.
How much are they? A leg and an arm?
Oh, they only cost $999 for a gig :)
