Hello all,
I am adding support to BeMail/mail kit for additional foreign encodings such as
chinese
encodings. I am requesting emails in foreign encodings. In particular I need
samples
from japanese users.
Please send me an email with some sample text (a paragraph) and also in the
subject please
list the encoding or character set that you used and the name/version of the
client that
you used. Please send as many different encodings as possible. (up to the
point where you
get bored :-) )
For example, if you are sending chinese emails, it is useful if you include
both Big5
encoding and also GB2312 or GB18030, etc. Your subject might look like this:
Subject: Big5 / Microsoft Outlook
or
Subject: GB2312 / Netscape Communicator
Please include at least two or three line breaks in your body. Like this:
Pretend that this is
japanese text, and then
this would be a good test sample.
Additionally, if any japanese user has run into problems or inconsistencies
between
BeMail and other email clients, please let me know about it. Thanks.
Andrew
