I'm sorry, I probably misunderstood what you're trying to say, but
you're really not giving us much information to go on.

First: you should not have to use sudo to build Haiku - it's
unnecessary. Once you've used sudo though, much of the files in
generated will be owned by root, and you'll get errors when not using
sudo.

Second: you should be able to compile Haiku image without a
UserBuildConfig entirely - if you cannot do that, then something else
is wrong.

You have not provided us with the full output from your jam -q, and so
we don't know why libbe.so has failed to link (the error should be in
the output somewhere).
