Howdy,

I just realized that in our Jamrules file the AR variable is set to `ar 
r', while the default value is `ar ru'. To me the `u' seems to make 
sense -- it causes only outdated archive members to be updated -- but 
apparently someone inserted the line, and I suspect this someone had a 
reason for it. Alas, the line is already there since revision 1.1 and 
the old tree is long since gone. :-(
