Monitors generally don't have a frame store so the video card pumps out pixels
constantly , the following is determining minimum connection bandwidth.
Calculations:
Mitsubishi TFT DV173
1280px x 1024px x 24bit x 40 Hz = 1200 Mbits/s = 150 MBytes/s
(U.S.A) HDTV
1920px x 1080px x 24bit x 30 Hz approx 2018 MBits/s = 252 MBytes/s
Maxes out a DVI-D cable single link = 2160 MBits/s
A 1200 DPI printer has to handle 144 times the number of pixels.
