As long as we don't have to use the GPL for such a driver, I have
nothing against them - we just have to live with it, and I rather live
with it than without a driver at all.

There are also some WLAN drivers for BeOS, but its author doesn't seem
to want to publish them in source (and due to bugs he knows about for
at least half a year or so, they don't work on Haiku either, yet).
