Something makes me want to scream "Not another package format!!!!"

What exactly is meant by "better"? What features does it lack?

Stick a GUI in front of BSD's (BSD-licensed <g>) ports/packages system
and you've got a brilliant package manager. The only problem I see is how
to integrate it with Jam, but that should be possible.
