It is always better to coordinate this kind of things with the rest of us, not only to make an announcement (if necessary), but also to see if there may be other ramifications that need to be taken care of (like the waltercon subdomain).

It is a matter of doing some teamwork, so that we don have to run around trying to fix problems after the fact. We waited for about one year, we could have easily waited for another day or two to do the switch right. That's all. :-)

Jorge, I can't reproduce your waltercon redirect problem and on IRC I
only got "it's working correctly", so maybe it's a browser caching
issue?


As you suggested, clearing my browser cache did the trick. Strange...
