I actually checked this not long after sending my email and indeed I 
had an older GCC. Things compile fine now after updating to the proper 
GCC. I'm amazed things worked as well as they did with the older 
version.

Still, I'm not seeing DEBUG output from the registrar, even though I 
see tons from the input_server. Errr, annoying.

I know the Bezilla guys have worked hard but the more I use Firefox on 
BeOS the more I think we need a slim native browser. Of course I know 
I'm not the first to think of this idea and it is quite a daunting task 
if one looks at all the currently dead projects of this nature. But 
that could just reflect the current state of BeOS development in 
general. Hopefully the release of Haiku in the future will help revive 
this community.

I'll update to the latest ATI driver and see if that helps.
