[openbeos] The storage kit

Some questions, forgive me if they've been asked before, but I've only 
just subscribed to the mailing list:

1) What is NewOS & how does it fit in with the project?

2) What are the responsibilities of the storage kit part of the project? 
 Is it a front-end for the file systems in the kernel? Does it encompass 
the file systems, with the kernel handling the devices?  Or something else?

3)  Have we got any standards for coding, directory structure, and 
makefiles?  If not, should we start a project to define them before we 
end up with conflicting projects?

 I'm not being negative, but I just wanted to ask
