I am completely against the wiki even existing, to be honest. Drupal gives logged in users the ability to submit content. What extra benefit does wiki give, except a door for spammers and ill mannered people? We have a good balance - the ability for the community to contribute and the ability for us to control what goes on the site, and all without wiki. I vote to drop it altogether.

Our wiki currently requires a login to post content. I think that it is very important for it to remain streamlined so that people can find well presented data easily. Conversely, I don't think we can't afford to discard contributions to the overall community that are valuable, yet are outside the realm of Haiku-os.org. Further, the wiki allows for community editing before it is passed into the official realm. Having just moderators of haiku moderate and edit the content is all fine and good, but we wouldn't be taking advantage of the wealth of information and potential contributors.

But the reason for the mega-warnings was that the GE stuff went into the wiki and it needed to be made abundantly clear to anyone visiting that they were *NOT* looking at a product roadmap but instead a list of brainstormed ideas.

"GE Stuff"? Sorry, I don't know what that is. IMHO, The content on the wiki should be obvious that it is not "official" by its content, the label should be secondary.

I don't think that what we have looks horrible, but I think that we can do better.

I don't think it is horrible either. Design is just "transforming something from an existing state to a preferred state."
