GRUB is nice because it has an interactive mode.

That is nice because if you are a Leenooks weenie, and have compiled a new
kernel, and it's jacked, you can still boot from the old one, assuming
of course you have backed the old one up.

For BeOS, this is a non issue, and GRUB already allows booting to BeOS
(I use it to triple boot BeOS, Linux, and Windows).

My point is, you only really need Grub for saving your ass from Linux.
It's completely unncessary if you are a BeOS only user.
