1st thing: wouldn't it be better if you eliminate blue, and use deviations/more of Haiku's 3 colors (yellow, orange, green)? (and white for some backgrounds and black/brown for text). Looks like silver is working too... (main buttons) (it's close to white).
2nd thing: don't give up on gradients, they make a webpage look a lot nicer, IMO.

This version is . . . different:
