[openbeos] Re: Site Audit

Karl, I've discovered that all BeOS files from the dawn of time are still
available on BeShare (ie. Everyone (TM) has everything).

Going into off-topic mode (and this really is a R2 / GlassElevator thing),
wouldn't it be perfect to have a "Haiku world" icon on the desktop which
launches an app like BeShare v2, which has the following:

1) can host/connect to Haiku only chat rooms (with various topics), just
like BeShare now

2) can share Haiku only files (P2P), just like BeShare now. No more dead
links.

3) Shows a community bookmark page (with links to the best Haiku pages)

4) ultimately, uses a HTML based kit to connect to a Haiku WIKI, which is
also the only documentation for the system (user and developer).

5) why not, connects to Haiku database.

6) push notifications for application updates.

Ofcourse, the pragmatic and simpler solution would be to have a "Haiku
world" icon on the desktop which is a symlink to a directory, and the
directory has links to apps with this functionality (BeShare, Vision, HTML
links etc),

Anyhow, good luck with HaikuWare v2. karl, you are a great asset to the
Haiku community.

 Cheers.
