It's not very intuitive, I must agree.

I can't see any bloat though - I would consider a slide show like 
functionality to be very basic for an image viewer.

I would like if that function would be used like in BeMail, where the 
next item in the window is chosen (using Tracker scripting). Or, when 
you select several images, that you'd have a slide show from them, not 
all of them in extra windows.
But that's the same thing, just slightly different implemented.

Where is the difference? Files are always in a directory.

Be's DriveSetup obviously cannot handle partition tables written by 
some other apps, although I am not sure where the real culprit is. I 
know for a fact the one from Windows messed up my table once, and I 
also heard that the one from earlier Linux distributions was messing up 
tables, too.
