OTOH, installing yet > another app (mini-editor) is definitely too much. I don't think a mini photo-specific editor is too much as I've said before. Most printers/digital cameras in windows come with some simple home-user editing app - one of those bundled with Haiku would be fine IMHO. I'm completely with Micahel about wanting to view 100 times and edit once, and that launching a seperate app for the edit from within showimage is the best way to handle that sort of usage. On the other hand, rotation is such a common thing to do when viewing (you can view an image with contrast slightly off fine, but before you can really take in the photo it needs to be the correct way around) - so I think the lossless rotation as proposed by stippi is the way to go. Although ShowImage handles lots of image formats, the only images you're likely to want to rotate (99% of the time) will be JPEG didital photos, so a special case for that sounds acceptable. > > BTW: I would also prefer "Flip Left to Right" and "Flip Top to Bottom" > > When I hear "Upside Down" I must actually think of a 180° rotation > (which is wrong), so I'd prefer "Left to Right" and "Top to Bottom", too. > > Bye, > Waldemar > > > ----------------------------------------- Email sent from www.ntlworld.com Virus-checked using McAfee(R) Software Visit www.ntlworld.com/security for more information
