Just because Ingo doesn't want it in the Haiku repository doesn't mean
it won't be included in the Haiku "distribution." So please try to
understand the difference between inclusion in our source tree and
inclusion in the final binary installable OS.

I suspect as R1 approaches we will find many other libraries and
applications of this type that aren't in the Haiku repo yet will be
included by default in the OS. My WebKit port and the associated
browser being one good example, hopefully :)

I fully agree with Ingo that big libraries which aren't needed
critically by the core OS should not be in our repository. That
includes OpenSSL, my WebKit port and many other things.

I'm sure we will provide a system for easily including these should
someone want to make their own distribution of Haiku. For example I'm
writing my WebKit port under the 3rdparty directory of the Haiku
source tree, and using Jam to build it. But it is hosted under the
WebKit project's SVN.

Ryan
