To my knowledge reasonably up-to-date versions of OpenSSL do exist. It's 
likely that the lack of HTTPS support is just caused by a configuration 
issue. I might have messed up something when building ssh. Before anyone 
asks, now that Haiku is nearly self-hosting, I don't feel particularly 
inclined to work on any kind of port for BeOS anymore.

I don't think we will put it in our repository. There's no reason to do that; 
it would just add the additional work of keeping it in sync.
