Hi Ithamar,

I'll vote for 2. At this point, I think that our binary compatibility 
efforts are to provide a smooth as possible transitition. We should not 
worry about anything that comes included with Haiku, especially drivers. 
And if we dont't loose much...
But above all: Who codes, decides. So if you're willing to put the work 
into converting those drivers to the new Haiku API... who could argue with 
that?! :-) It is the cleaner solution.
