I want you to state: "OpenBeOS is in support of BeUnited's
initiative to obtain the licence to the BeOS from Palm, and is
willing to make itself available for development projects arising
out of the granting of the licence." Or something to that effect.

It's better to know what I don't want: I don't want development
resources (that would be paid-for) to be tied up in (ultimately)
competitive projects, but I guess this is a decision each OpenBeOS
developer has to make for himself.

Guys, I may be totally off-track here, but my concern is that
Palm sees and says "geez, the BeOS community is really
splintering; the risk is just too high. We won't do it." That's
what I want to avoid.

Once we have the licence, we can do all sorts of acrobatics,
making everybody happy, but for now I think any isolated
initiative is not good for the BeOS. That's all.
