FileTypes Preferences don't necessarily (and in the majority seem not to) deal with applications, but with filetypes. So, taking e.g. a Person file, the Description says "Contact information for a person". And there's no attribute with that info: 

I misread your question. That name shows in Tracker's "Kind" column.
