I assume your speaking of BeOS compared to Mac OS X (in the few steps backward remark), and while on per feature to feature base you would be correct. However, I remember how remarkable BeOS was (performance and stability wise) on my old 200MHz PPC; I simply want to see the "power beneath the hood" so to speak.
