The native nVidia driver works for my 7300 (LE ??). But since I disabled
the acceleration, it runs exactly as well as the VESA mode. I am not sure
if there is currently any graphics card which benefits from the 3D
acceleration that Rudolf experimented with a couple years ago. For that,
those 3D drivers would need to be integrated with our MESA OpenGL stack.
Rudolf and/or Phillippe or maybe Jérôme can possibly comment on this.
Also, Artur ("aljen" if memory doesn't fail me) worked on porting Gallium3D
and got pretty far. As far as it replacing our MESA as the software
renderer, although being about twice slower at that. I don't know if he
succeeded as far as making any of the actual hardware 3D drivers of the
Gallium framework work. Would be pretty cool if this were developed in an
actuall Haiku repository branch, so it gets more exposure and one can more
easily follow the progress...

Very cool.
