Yes you can. The Obos project might feel that they don't want to use gpl
code, and I respect that, but they can't push their politics to someone's
own home. If you write the code then people will use it, but if it's
gpled, it won't be bundled w/ the Obos source code. It can be in alternate
distros like the one I plan on rolling. So your code is welcome, bsd, gpl,
or proprietary.
